What subjects should a Year 7 learner study?
Many families include English, Maths and Science alongside History, Geography, creative subjects, physical activity, life skills and learning about religions and worldviews. In England, home educators do not have to follow the National Curriculum, but education must be suitable to the child’s age, ability, aptitude and any special educational needs.
Choose resources that show progression
Look for a coherent sequence and clear learning objectives. A library of isolated worksheets can fill time without making it clear what comes next or whether important ideas have been missed.
